Kingdom of Jordan Border Security System (JBSS)
HiRSA™ Case Study
Persistent Sentinel serves as a Prime Contractor on an US Army Foreign Military Sales project for the Kingdom of Jordan – Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).
Project
To develop and deploy an efficient, proven, reliable, and cost effective system capable of providing the JAF with the ability to detect, identify, classify, respond, and capture intruders. JBSS includes all of the hardware, software, and processes that are required to satisfactorily meet the operational requirements identified by JAF.
Solution
- In 2009, Persistent Sentinel partnered with DRS Technologies and deployed its High Resolution Situational Awareness (HiRSA™) software that serves as the back-bone of an integrated solution based on remotely monitored sensors, cameras and surveillance radars, which is capable of strategic and tactical deployment to assist the JAF with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities.
- In 2017, Persistent Sentinel was awarded a new contract to enhance the capabilities of the JBSS with an advanced software and hardware solution that will ensure the ongoing integrity of the system from new emerging threats.
UNIQUENESS OF HiRSA
- HiRSA fuses information from multiple sensors (agnostic) and data sources to produce a common operating picture for security operations center personnel.
- HiRSA operates as a networked, distributed system with a centralized command center node. It automatically evaluates and distributes critical information as tailored Warning/Caution/Advisory messages.
- HiRSA also supplies recommended courses of action to decision makers and provides task lists for each level of the operations team.
- Since October 2009, the system has operated continuously for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in all weather conditions, and across all types of terrain.
